Art Supplies from another angle

Monastir Dialect by Max Luria, rebound in a paper case with alum tawed straps. Mountain range and titling done as a collage with thin handmade paper strips. Monastir is the town my great-grandfather is from, a mountain town in today's North Macedonia, and this book documents it's particular dialect of Ladino (a Jewish Spanish spoken by many Sephardic Jews)
Fine binding of La Vita Nuova by Dante. Covered with Harmatan goat skin in navy, with red, orange, and yellow onlayed flames. Bed onlayed with brown leather and title smoke tooled.

Rubow-style binding of Before All the World by Moriel Rothman-Zecher. Yellow leather edges and label over paper marbled by me.

Hand quilted and embroidered cover for the book Ashkenazi Herbalism, using scraps of fabric and various applique techniques

The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions by Larry Mitchell. Fine binding covered with yellow goatskin. Pink and green goatskin onlays. Tattooed cover and title.

Middle Egyptian Grammar by James Hoch. Bound in blue buckram with gold foil tooling and leather label.
